WHAT ARE THE COSTS OF HAIR RESTORATION?

Every patient is different and we will always estimate the cost of your procedure before the procedure is booked. Please refer to the chart below for an indication of our fees.

**Please Note.
The above chart depicts the number of hairs and grafts as a calculated average given the size of the donor strip and the individual patient's density.

The "number of hairs" calculation is varied, as each graft consists of 1, 2 or 3 hairs. A person with a higher density may produce more hairs per graft.

Deposit

Payment Policy: A deposit of CAD $1,000 is required ($500 Non-Refundable) to reserve a surgical date. Balance is due 2 weeks in advance of the procedure. Cancellation policy for the deposit is a refund minus $500 Non-Refundable portion with more than 4 weeks (30 days) notice. We accept cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard, certified cheques, money orders, wire transfers and traveler cheques.

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy

Our policy is that a patient is entitled to re-schedule or cancel a surgery date with at least 30 days notice. This enables us to re-book the surgery day.

Planning your visit

When planning your visit (if you are coming from out-of-town) we recommend that you stay in Ottawa for at least one night after the procedure, if you are based in North America, and 5 days post-op if you are an International patient. The pre-op consultation with Dr. Rahal can be scheduled for the day before the surgery or the morning of the surgery.

Follow up visits can be arranged for the day after the surgery and for every day you are in town.

Travel Reimbursement

We always give our overseas, cross-border and out-of-town patients a travel reimbursement to help cover travel expenses and this is deducted from the total procedure price. Please contact us for details.

Travel Arrangements

Patients are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. Patients who book flights should ensure that the plane arrives at the Ottawa International Airport (YOW) the day/night before the surgery. Our offices are very close to the airport and require a short five-minute cab ride.

U.S. Travelers
Our US patients must travel with their passports. We have provided the direct link to the U.S Government site below.

International Travelers
International travelers must also travel with their passports. We recommend that you contact your local travel agent to determine what additional documents or travel visas, if any, are required.

Confirmation Letter - Canada Customs
We will provide each patient with an invitation letter, stating their name and procedure date. This will be sent to you via e-mail or facsimile, prior to your departure to Canada. Canadian Customs may ask for this letter, so it is important to bring it with your travel documents.

Time off work
Most patients take a week off from work. The procedure is often completed in a single session and extended time-off is not necessary for recovery.
