High-Dose Finasteride Halts Hair Loss in Women

Finasteride (AKA Propecia) is an effective treatment for male pattern baldness, but the dosage prescribed for men (1mg per day) is ineffective in women. This latest study, brought to our attention by Ob.Gyn News, has shown that higher doses of 5mg per day can be safe and effective in treating female pattern baldness.
