According to The American Academy of Dermatology, hair loss after childbirth is completely normal and caused by decreasing estrogen levels. Most hairs will return within a year, but here are a few tips if you want be more proactive:
1) Use shampoos with protein that adds volume to your hair.
2) Avoid using any conditioning shampoos or ‘intensive conditioners’ that can weigh down your hair down and make it look limp.
3) If using a conditioner, use a one made for fine hair as they contain lighter formulas.
4) Try an new hair style or cut it short which is easier to manage and saves time.
If hair doesn’t regain its natural fullness after one year then its recommended you see a dermatologist.
