Zachary Aufderheide, 17, was only an inch away from donating his hair to Locks of Love, a charity that donates wigs to children who’ve lost their hair due to medical problems, when he was given a choice by board members: cut the ponytail or suspension.
It appears the ponytail is in violation of the school’s dress code: ‘hair must be neat and clean’.
He went with the in-school suspension.
